It’s the start to another big week: David begins round #4 of chemo (or as he affectionately calls it, “hitting the juice bar”) September 8th. He’ll continue treatment throughout the week and has a few important scans the following week. Rosh Hashana also begins next week and we are all praying David has a sweet and healthy Jewish new year.

August 15, 2020 Update
Quick update: a few weeks ago David’s chemo schedule was pushed back due to scheduling issues/COVID-19, but David was able to charm his way with the staff and is now starting round #3 on Tuesday. And how exactly did David charm his way onto the schedule a week early? He bought the nurses lunch and a case of beer. Lesson learned: it’s all about lunch and beer. Keep fighting hard, David!

Health Announcement #1
Here it is. There is no easy way to say this. I have Stage 4 Small Cell Extensive Lung Cancer (large tumor in my lung—upper left lobe) that has spread to my liver, many bones, and my brain. I will get a port put in Monday July 6th, meet with oncologist Tuesday morning, and start treatment Tuesday afternoon July 7th.
