It was great seeing you out walking today! All smiles:) Sending you love and support from across Great Star Drive:)
Congrats on your upcoming anniversary! Thank you for your positive energy. On another note I’m a Kai Ryssdal fan :-). Stay strong!
My dear friend Ellen Rappoport has been given me updates and I wanted to reach out to you myself. Your positive attitude is inspiring and I know your loving family has been beside you every step of the way. My fond memories of your girls attending Bet Yeladim and all of the connections your family made at BY warms my heart knowing all the support you are receiving from those relationships and beyond.
Lu, I see you are trying to gain weight. When we were riding the bus on a field trip in the 5th grade, we got into a serious and detailed discussion about what was the greatest food on Earth. We came to the unanimous conclusion that Doritos were not only the best food in the world, but that we would both like nothing other than to have a lifetime supply of them. So, go get you some Doritos! For every family sized bag that you eat, I pledge to eat two.
Sending prayers & Happy Anniversary wishes
Still praying for you David! Wishing you strength and comfort to overcome this obstacle! And Happy Anniversary to you both!
Hey Lubitz family! Congratulations on 20 years of marriage and happy birthday Jen! The Greenberg’s are sending you love!
Keep fighting Luby! You inspire me. My sister, Abby, reminded me of a funny story… When we were seniors in high school, my parents took me on a college visit, but left Abby home with Kristen (Bowen) Perry. Somehow they locked themselves out of the house and needed “break in” through a window. Kristen and Abby went to David to ask for his help… and lo and beyond, he climbed onto the room and broke in through a bedroom window! I remember hearing that story and wishing I was there to witness it– I definitely had FOMO on a historical moment 🙂 But I think the moral of the story is that when my sister and best friend were in trouble, they went to David for help ☺️ And he helped.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
We continue to send our love and prayers.
Congratulations on the finish of mile 2.
You are an inspiration to all.
Happy 20th Anniversary!
Lot’s of big things going on in August.
Keeping you in our thoughts!
Keep fighting David, you’ve got this. Happy Anniversary! Sending you love and continued prayers, the Greenberg’s.
Wishing you and Jen a happy anniversary…and keeping you and your family in my heart.
Happy Anniversary to you and Jen. Sending you my thoughts and love.
Luby, Happy Anniversary! April said she reached out to you as well…can’t believe she’s still at Fido after all of this time. Your comeback story during your days at Fido inspired us both…if one thing we know is that you keep a rabbit in the hat. LOL. Looking forward to supporting you on this journey my man! Much love bro!
Happy 20th Anniversary, Jen & David
We love you! ❤

Hi David! Nice job on the new website! I’m sure that was no easy task. I just wanted to say hi and wish you a great day and remind you that I’m thinking and praying for you and your family. One can never have too many prayers and there is power in prayer that I’ve experienced first hand. Stay Strong! P.S. I still haven’t purchased that new car yet!
Hi David, We are friends of your parents. We wanted to send you “healing” wishes as you continue your treatment. You have many people praying for you and your recovery and we hope that gives you the strength that is needed during this time. Stay strong, David.
Warmly, Jean and Al Grinspoon
Hi David and Jen. Happy 20th Anniversary. David, you have a wonderful attitude and we know you’re going to beat this! We think of you every day and keep you in our prayers. Stay strong!
Since receiving that first letter informing us of your current health crisis I’ve been following all posts. Most importantly, I send you prayers and well wishes. I admire your positive attitude. Keep it light and encouraging I believe was the request. Well I would like to tell you a story to which I know you will be able to relate.
There was a man in the prime of his life, about your age, who had a wife and 2 children just about the same age as yours. Out of nowhere he received a diagnoses of leukemia. Upon diagnosis was given little hope for a future beyond six months. He was determined and was referred to the University of Md. Cancer Center.
From day one the doctors at U of M offered him hope. Like you, he was determined to beat it. He began climbing “Mt. Cancer” with unshakeable determination, always remaining positive. He was motivated by his great love for his family and by their unwavering support and love for him.
After three years of chemo, radiation, some ups and downs, and a few setbacks along the way, he victoriously reached the top of that mountain. He remained cancer free for 33 years post treatment and “lived happily ever after”.
That man was my husband, your client, and friend, Ron Sanford.
I hope that this little “Fairytale” has reinforced your determination and confidence that you too will have that happy ending. Myself and my family will continue to send prayers and good wishes to you as you continue your climb. We will celebrate with you when you reach the top of the mountain!
Luby, look forward to seeing you hit a drive like Morikawa did on the 16th yesterday! Stay strong buddy!
So happy to hear that you went through the first course so well! May all the future ones go as smoothly! Take each day as it comes, stay strong and positive….we are all rooting for you!!!
David, Sending lots of positive thoughts your way as you fight through this. Pizza and beer will certainly help! Looking forward to our next planning session where you once again explain to Kelly that all my ideas make total sense! 🙂
Thank you for being a positive mentor and good friend. Proverbs 27:17. Praying for you and your family.
Beautiful day to keep climbing that mountain. You’ve got this my friend. Will be taking my walk today thinking about you and your sweet family, sending positive thoughts with love and prayers. I see all the love and well wishes coming your way. You have created an amazing wide circle of friends who are there for you as you have been for them.
What a very special person you are!!!
Sending lots of love,
Kathy and Ron Stevens
Thinking of you and sending you my very best wishes! Speaking as a nurse, I don’t know what it is about food and hospital staff, but you found the key to success in record time!! Stay strong……Barbara
David, get your strength, rest, enjoy the beautiful day…. August is always a time of reflection before the turning of the season and the work begins. Enjoy it.
As I read your story again, like many people on here, looking through the well wishes and love of everyone in your circle of life. I stopped myself today to ponder something; 10 years of coaching, 2 sports, 6 assistant coaching gigs..that is incredible commitment! As a parent who assistant-coaches-when-he-has-time, tries support and help wherever I may, the level of commitment and time you put in is amazing. That is the stuff that makes a community, that creates bonds that tie us all together, that creates a life. I know you get a lot out of it (as you note), but I’m sure your world is better because of your efforts. I’m not in your immediate circle, but thank you for doing all that you do.
Eat something good today, enjoy the sun, enjoy the moment, love completely.
Hi David! Just wanted to stop in and say hi and let you know that I think of you and your family often. I’m glad you were able to move your treatment up. Beer and pizza seems to be the universal gift/persuasion! I talked to Andrew the other day for the first time and he was great – but I miss YOU! I’m sending you healing wishes and prayers.
Sending healing wishes your way, David. You really don’t know us, but we have heard about you and your family for many years. Parents tend to do a lot of bragging. We wanted you to know that an entire community is praying for you. Keep that positive attitude and stay strong, David. You have a BIG cheering squad wishing you better health in the days to come!
The wicked man brings mental anguish upon himself by his own wickedness; but the pious man has hope even in his death. —Proverbs 14:32
Even in the worst of circumstances, the pious man has assurance that he need not despair.
Fuerza y honor son su vestidura;
Y se ríe de lo por venir. —Proverbios 31:25
Strength and honor are his clothing;
And he is optimistic about the future. —Proverbs 31:25
The devout person decides every day to cloth himself with spiritual strength, which he receives by meditating on God’s word, and to be a person of honorable conduct. Such a person is optimistic about the future.

Thinking of you and sending well wishes and love from the Mendell family. I also wanted to share my favorite scripture: Isaiah 41:10 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.”
Hi David, I read your posting and it is so nice to know things are going well with you and your family. I pray that God continue to bless you. Hang in there. As for me I miss going on my annual trip this year and I am tired of this house. Coronavirus changed my wonderful retirement!!!!!!

You are an incredible human being David!! I was so blessed to have you as a dear friend in high school and college and feel so saddened about losing touch all these years. I am loving reading about your amazing spirit and the love and joy you clearly spread to so many people – on and off the soccer fields. I am sending strong prayers your way, for you and your beautiful family, as you go head back to the juice bar! You will rock it, I have no doubt! You are in my heart and prayers!!
