Last Friday, David finished three weeks of brain radiation. Unfortunately David had a setback the following day and was admitted to the hospital due to extremely low sodium levels. Although he is still in the hospital, each day his levels are increasing which is a good sign.
Two weeks ago, David had a PET scan which showed the liver and lung cancer are being controlled with the immunotherapy. However, the bone and brain cancer are spreading. David’s doctors are currently working on a treatment plan for moving forward.
David is in good spirits and appreciates all the supportive messages. Jen is equally grateful to everyone who has reached out to her. The Lubitz’s are blessed to have such a large, caring group of people cheering for them and ready to help at a moment’s notice. David and Jen are incredibly grateful for all the support and ask for everyone’s understanding if they are not able to respond back to all the calls, emails, and texts.
Thank you to the many people who have asked how to help. The Lubitz’s do not need help at the moment, but when Jen feels she needs additional help, an update will be sent via the website. Those who receive the notifications will be automatically notified.
Keep climbing that mountain, David. And remember no matter how tall the mountain is, it cannot block the sun.
