It’s the start to another big week: David begins round #4 of chemo (or as he affectionately calls it, “hitting the juice bar”) September 8th. He’ll continue treatment throughout the week and has a few important scans the following week. Rosh Hashana also begins next week and we are all praying David has a sweet and healthy Jewish new year.
Several friends and family have been hard at work making “Coach Luby Strong” bracelets. They sold 125 and are currently evaluating how to proceed with future rounds. The proceeds from the bracelet sales were used to purchase 11 pairs of Under Armor walking/running shoes for some of the nurses, medical assistants, and front desk staff at the Tate Center. David, Jen, Allie, and Natalie brought the shoes to Tate last week and well, let’s just say there may have been more than a few tears shed. It was a wonderful moment.
